The list of Gauge 1 projects has grown to 185 models and model families. Some deliveries have moved closer, but numerous projects have been delayed.

In the third and last part of the report about the Fichtelbergbahn of the Sächsische Dampfeisenbahngesellschaft (SDG), we once again meet steam trains on the way and look at the Hüttenbach Viaduct and the terminus Kurort Oberwiesenthal, which has a nostalgic automat. The Fichtelbergbahn Cranzahl - Kurort Oberwiesenthal in Saxony overcomes a difference in altitude of 240 meters (789 ft) on a route of 17.4 km (10.8 m) in the Ore Mountains. With steam, of course. We went along for the ride.
Rail Cargo Austria's Eanos from Modellbau Marcus Jaegers

Current freight cars are painted colorful and make the modern railroad colorful and attractive. Modellbau Marcus Jaegers has produced a modern white-red painted Eanos of Rail Cargo Austria.

DB E 71 13 from Fine Models

As the first version, Fine Models has just delivered the gauge 1 model of the E 71 13 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. 57 large format photos show all the details of the Prussian electric locomotive classic. The review describes the strengths and shortcomings of Fine Models' model - and clarifies the question of whether the competitor's locomotive is better.

An Afternoon at the Pressnitztalbahn

To partially rebuild a dismantled narrow-gauge railroad and to run a busy operation on it: At the Pressnitztalbahn, volunteers have managed to bring a Saxon narrow-gauge railroad back to life. A visit and a ride are worthwhile. And you quickly realize: The Harz narrow-gauge railroads could certainly learn a lot from the narrow-gauge railroad operators in Saxony. 47 photos showing an adorable 750 mm narrow gauge railroad in the Ore Mountains.

From Walthersdorf to Crottendorf

The Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) in Saxony, Germany, offer a lot of variety in terms of railroad technology in a very small area. Ore Mountains stations and lines were the theme on the approximately 120 modules of the fourth Annaberg-Buchholz Gauge 1 operating days initiated by jübe-modelle. The self-builts, together with the DR vehicles, looked authentic and the operation remained relaxed. Part 1 with 51 photos in large format.
