Kirchenlaibach is still a railway hub. But the steam locomotive depot has been gone for 50 years. My 22 photos show, among other things, long-forgotten coal-loading facilities—simple inspirations for gauge 1 layouts.

In 1974, the era of steam locomotives in Rottweil was slowly coming to an end. However, anyone who visited with a camera for an afternoon had the opportunity to capture the operation with 50s, a 038, a 078, and a few diesel locomotives on polyester film. Part 1 of a photo series.

From Walthersdorf to Crottendorf

The Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) in Saxony, Germany, offer a lot of variety in terms of railroad technology in a very small area. Ore Mountains stations and lines were the theme on the approximately 120 modules of the fourth Annaberg-Buchholz Gauge 1 operating days initiated by jübe-modelle. The self-builts, together with the DR vehicles, looked authentic and the operation remained relaxed. Part 1 with 51 photos in large format.
