In Giessen, Hagen von Ortloff displayed his collection of model trains and tin toys from the last century, as well as a few modern models. It was particularly interesting for children, though they were largely absent this time.

Railway Day will take place from Friday to Sunday (September 19 to 21, 2025). There will be events and demonstrations of railways and railway technology throughout Germany. Two events for gauge 1 enthusiasts are taking place next weekend.

The International Gauge 0 +1 Days will take place in Giessen on March 23 and 24, 2024. With a total of 99 exhibitors and 35 layouts, the trade fair is well on the way to becoming the central event for 1-gauge. A preview of trade fair novelties and exhibits.

On January 11, 2024, the first gauge 1 regulars' table will take place at the IG-DU in Duisburg.

Speyer is the new synonym for the traditional Spur 1 meeting since 2022. In 2024, there will be a new date at the end of the year with continuous significance for the gauge 1 industry. A break with tradition?

In two weeks, the Days of Rail will be held all over Germany, where the rail industry will present itself in all its diversity. Märklin is also taking part.

On September 16 and 17, the German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport is organizing Rail Days with the rail industry. The events are more inventive than the advertising logo.

During the Days of the Railway Friend at the German Railway Association (DEV) between Bruchhausen-Vilsen and Asendorf, freight trains ran on meter gauge. The oldest load on a 125-year-old flat car was a 99-year-old tractor.

As usual, during the Days of the Railroad Friend(s) at the Deutscher Eisenbahn-Verein, there is more operation between Bruchhausen-Vilsen and Asendorf on meter gauge than on the other operating days. But on the standard gauge line the "Kaffkieker" shuttled.

Today and tomorrow the Days of the Railroad Friend take place around Bruchhausen-Vilsen. There will be traffic on the meter gauge railroad, a standard gauge railcar and shunting demonstrations showing the loading of standard gauge wagons onto roller trucks and corresponding freight trains to Heiligenberg and Asendorf.

Finally, a few snapshots from the Intermodellbau.

Over 30 model railroad layouts were exhibited at Intermodellbau 2021. Most were of high quality craftsmanship and with original ideas or completely based on the prototype. Often it is model builders from abroad who implement a theme in great detail.

Intermodellbau is the Mecca of model railroad layout builders. Gauge 1 is also represented.

At Intermodellbau, Fine Models and Wunder showed new hand samples.

Tomorrow the Intermodellbau starts in Dortmund. Gauge 1 is only represented on a small scale, but will present new hand samples.

The Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) in Saxony, Germany, offer a lot of variety in terms of railroad technology in a very small area. Ore Mountains stations and lines were the theme on the approximately 120 modules of the fourth Annaberg-Buchholz Gauge 1 operating days initiated by jübe-modelle. The self-builts, together with the DR vehicles, looked authentic and the operation remained relaxed. Part 1 with 51 photos in large format.

Unfortunately, the traditional Bahndammfest at EiWi (Railway Witterswil near Basel), Switzerland, has to be postponed again this year due to corona. The new date is the weekend of 11 and 12 September 2021.

Recently model railway friends met in Lodz in Poland for a small model railway fair. There were also three 1-gauge enthusiasts.
